Discovering Use Cases Through Business Process Analysis

COST: FREE Use cases have become an essential tool in defining user requirements. However, the discovery and documentation of use cases is often not as easy as it seems. In this webinar, participants learn how to use business workflows as a means for discovering and defining system use cases. In addition, participants will be shown how to capture use case context, detailed requirements, and business rules through methodical analysis of use case narratives in order to establish requirements traceability.
The speaker for this webinar, Martin Schedlbauer, Ph.D., is the principal and founder of his own company which provides consulting, business analysis, and software architecture services to software and business organizations worldwide.
Since 1989, Dr. Schedlbauer is an accomplished and dynamic presenter and has been leading and authoring seminars and workshops in business analysis, software engineering, and project management. Beyond that, he is integrally involved in architecting large-scale distributed software systems for many of his clients.
Dr. Schedlbauer is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including Business Analyst World, Object World, as well as many research symposia. In addition, he has written articles for CIO Magazine, Training Magazine, Journal of Object Technology, and many research publications.

About the presenter: David Crane is a respected authority in Project Management consultation and training. He has delivered consulting services and training to thousands of employees of major firms throughout the United States. David brings with him over thirty five years of management, consulting, training and software experience. During the last twenty four years he has provided project planning consultation and training to over 200 corporations from the fields of computer software, hardware, automotive engineering, energy, municipal engineering and manufacturing. He has extensive knowledge and experience with Project Management software tools including 16 years using Microsoft Project as well as experience with Primavera Project Planner, Sure Track, MAPPS, Open Plan and others. He has developed customized Views, Tables, Filters and Reports in Microsoft® Project. These customized features support a simple, logical approach to project planning and control. This approach is shared with clients both in the classroom and through consulting. He currently serves as a member of the Boston University Corporate Education Center adjunct facility where, for the past 16 years, he has provided training and consulting services for their Management Development Programs.
